Monsoon Transformations

Monsoon season in New Mexico brings periods of heavy rain. Fascinated with the force of the rain hitting the earth I began to photograph and document the stages of the deluge. It became an analogy to intense emotional periods and the final stage of resolution/transformation and perhaps symbolic of renewal. All things change, no matter how intense, and eventually may disappear although the imprint remains, sometimes visible and sometimes hidden.‍ ‍
